I am a recovering Meth addict. I have been sober almost 5 years. Everyday is a new day and it does get easier. The story I want to share today is the new beginning I made for myself when I decided to get sober. It was a decision that I made myself, that is not something you can be ordered to do. I was using needles and actually was on my last leg. I used daily for 4 years or so before I quit. It took time and lots of tears but I toughed it out. I am now the General Manger and operating partner of Brusters and Nathans in Oakwood Ga where I have been for 3 years. I can now look in the mirror and smile knowing where I have been and where I stand now within my community. I am grateful to the Ga Meth Project for being a reminder of what I have been thru. I would not want anyone to suffer that pain and losses that I have. I would rerally love to advocate for you and try to prevent teens from trying this horrible drug....NOT EVEN ONCE!
