"Clearly, Georgia is being killed ...We're on our knees right now."

Edward Kubo Jr.
US Attorney, State of Georgia

Age: 25
Gender: female

I am 7 years clean. I started smoking meth when I was 18 with my ex boyfriend, at first it was alot of fun but then things in your life just start falling apart. You see things you never wanted to see. Its like every month your life steps down a level, your hanging with people you never would have even thought about talking too. I saw people taking shoes off other peoples feet while they were passed out just so they would have shoes to wear out, because they didn't have any of their own. I saw people stealing food from babies, i saw people being robbed, shot, beat up. People I knew started dropping like flies. I abused meth for two years. My husband who was my best friend at the time of my use served two years in prison for dealing meth. Recovery was not so bad I slept alot and ate alot, and I was depressed but after a month of being clean I was thinking better, but it took me a year to fully get my mind back. I realized I was very smart, Its very strange the way you think when you first come off meth. But you can recover, its not that bad, and i was a heavy user. it's really just a mind addiction. But I am proud to say that me and my husband have a successful business and two beautiful children now, and we have come a really long way. I would never recomend that anyone ever try this drug because once you try it you will want to keep on doing it.
