"Clearly, Georgia is being killed ...We're on our knees right now."

Age: 15
Gender: female

When I was young my mom had a little boy. He died 11 days after she had him. She was never the same. I never really knew what she was doing till about 2 years ago. I mostly lived with my grandma. But when I stayed with my mom I never knew any one around. She didn't have a house so it was at a motel or some or her friends places. They'd be in another room for hours saying "We're talking about grown peoples stuff" And would smile to there friends, lock the door, and I wouldn't see them for the rest of the night. I remember when my mom was coming down, if I didn't breath right she'd smack me. She'd hit me all the time. Once I didn't do something she said and she picked me up by my neck and I couldn't touch the floor. Then she throw me down. I told her I hated her and still to this day I've never said sorry. I walked in on her using one day and she didn't say get out or turn around or nothing. she said "When you turn 15 you can do this with me" And just went back to doing it. I went in a room and cried and still to this day I've never looked at her the same way. She got pregnant and had my brother but nothing really happened then. It was when my mom got pregnant with my sister she started getting worse. One day we got into a fight and I kicked her not knowing I kicked her in the stomach but it was the only way to get her off me. Then after she had it not even a week old she took her to some nasty hotel and came back in a really bad mood. I was in my grandma's room on the phone and All I heard was screaming and crying I ran in there and found my aunt and my mom fighting and my mom was laying on the baby so I grabbed her and ran in the room locked the door and went into the bathroom and sat with her in my arms and cried. After hours of being in there I came out and gave my grandma the baby and she gave her to my mom and they left. They moved in with my grandparents and they lived her a while and now she's clean but again I'll never think of my mom as my mom.
