REAL STORIES

"Clearly, Georgia is being killed ...We're on our knees right now."

Edward Kubo Jr.
US Attorney, State of Georgia

Age: 27
Gender: Male

Im not wanted to explain my story to the media. My story has a positive ending. I did meth in 2003 for 4 months. It caused long term issues. I quit when i saw a female friend want to kill herself. Those 4 months were one of the most negative times in my life. Meth is a futile substance. I lost many friends. I had to go onto anti-depressants (still to this day). Another friend years later in 2006 hung himself. That is a long, other story. I almost didn't make it through this. I now at age 27, have turned to much more productive methods for my life. Working out, eating very healthy, working 50+ hours a week. I am a network engineer making 50+k a year. In those days i was making $8 per hour in a restaurant and in college. my parents were so mad. They disowned me for a period of time. They now are closer, but still distant. It will take many more years to rebuild. I am slightly mad at Myself. It now has been an issue in any relationship i am in. I proposed in 2006 to the love of my life. She didnt understand why I had gone through that stage of my life. Her parents said i was not right for her. That i was a previous drug addict and would relapse (which I never have or did)

It caused me years of issues. I wanted to get this off my mind. You all may be able to convey this to society and it to be used positively.
