REAL STORIES

"Clearly, Georgia is being killed ...We're on our knees right now."

Edward Kubo Jr.
US Attorney, State of Georgia

Age: 43
Gender: female

My story starts out probably like everyone else. Was just going to try it one time. And that one time I was hooked. It started with just a little here and there. Then a little got more and more until I was dealing. Was moving about 4 to 10 ounces a day. I was doing an ounce a week myself. Stayed up for days and days at a time. Sometimes staying up so long that I would hallucinate. Paranoia. Someone was always out to get me. All the windows in my house were painted black so that no one would see the lights on in the house. Really didn't want anyone to know that I was always up. My arms were covered in sores and my teeth finally rotted away. I am 43 yrs. old and I have dentures. Pretty sad. It is a miracle of God that I am not dead. All of this lasted about 5 yrs. I lost my home, my children, and my families respect. I was always liing. Anything to cover up what I was doing. But there is no liing about meth use. You don't realize it at the time how bad you really look. I lost a lot of weight also. My mother always said that I looked like the walking dead. The final 2 days of my meth use was the worst. I tried commit suicide by taking 196 vaqlium and zanax. God must have a purpose cause I didn't die. Two days later I tried to kill two people. That was my lowest point. Went to jail for 8 months and got 15 yrs. probation. I have been clean ever since. I know that there are many more horror stories that I can tell you. But the thing I wantg to say to anyone who is on meth or thinking of doing meth, Stop! Don't Do It! Live a normal and happy life. You won't have a life on meth. It is a killer.
