I started using at 17, at first I only did it on the weekends. Then I started sneaking out only returning before my parents woke up for work. I would get to school late, then leave early just to get high. I smoked from the pipe for a year and a half. I would stay up for weeks at a time thinking thats what your suppose to do. My parents started noticing the changes in my features. My face was sunken in, I lost a lot of weight. I never thought I would have started using the needle, but I did. It was worse than the pipe, I wanted more and more. The addiction took a hold on me. I couldn't hold a conversation with out slurring my words. I lost touch with my true friends, my families trust was out the door. I was lost in this world of not knowing were I was. I started stealing from my parents, not a care in the world until I got locked up 2/11/09. I got out 2 months later thinking everything was alright but I was wrong I relapsed and went crazy. I didn't go home for 2 weeks. To this day I still have no idea how my parents found me but they did and I'm very thankful because I was headed towards death at a very young age. Even though I'm only 9 months clean. Its an everyday struggle but with the help of the Lord, He is with me each step of the way.
