I am the Mother of a son who began using meth at 15 years old. He had a job at Kroger and was an AB honor roll student, but he lost all that, including his future. At 17, he dropped out of school, lost weight, and began using a needle and then, he broke the law.
In 2006, after being high for six days, he held up the local gas station. He is now serving a ten year sentence for armed robbery, his first offence, due to the mandatory sentencing laws in GA. He has never once been treated for his meth addiction in prison. The bottom line is, if you do meth, get hooked, and you commit a crime, too bad, you're on your own. So don't get hooked. Don't try it. Not even once!
