I know that kids reading these stories are going to say that we are all full of crap and don't know what we're talking about, but I swear, we do!! People don't know about things beyond picking and memory loss. It goes further than that. I used meth for 7 years and I saw women sell their bodies for dope, I saw drug dealers hold families at gun point for 30 dollars worth of dope that was stolen from them, I�ve seen people willing to steal from their own families just to get high, I've seen women abused and children beaten for interfering with people trying to use. People live with no electricity, no water, and no food to use meth. I've seen people sleep with cockroaches in their bed because it makes you not care one little bit about your living conditions. There is NO USING METH JUST ONCE!! I said that too. I had everything going for me. Honor roll, advanced placement student... Most likely to succeed and I tried meth just once and couldn't stop after that!! It doesn't matter who you are or how smart you are YOU CANNOT OUTSMART THIS DRUG!! I thought I was too smart to get addicted- not true!! I lost everything- including my son and it has taken me a long time to get only some of it back!! The ONLY way to recover and stay clean for the rest of your life is to attend 12 step meetings!! They do work and you don't have to do this alone!!! For those still suffering in the midst of this addiction then please give up the fight and let other recovering addicts help you!! We do love you no matter what you've done or where you've been!! We don't care about any of that!! Life is beautiful for me again and I enjoy waking up and looking at myself in the mirror- I'm no longer scared to see the person looking back at me! Cravings are few and far between and this is the only thing that has EVER helped me accomplish that, and I've tried many different things to stop!! Please just remember that you NEVER have to be alone again! There really is a better way of life waiting on you!!
